For cyclists, there is a wonderful gravel road that runs from Dyers Bay to Cabot Head lighthouse, winding along the shoreline, with the escarpment looming up to your left and a waterfall. In the spring and fall, Dyer's Bay is a focal point for birders in the Bruce Peninsula. The Bruce Peninsula Bird Observatory records hundreds of migrating birds that cross over this area each spring and fall. Not only birds can be seen in Dyers Bay, but many other creatures can be seen here. Black bears, coyotes, minks, and red squirrels to name a few are also regular visitors in the neighborhood.
